The Power of a Gift: Artist Reflection

When I think about the power of a gift, varying thoughts come to mind.  A gift not only celebrates the relationship between two people, but has the ability to strengthen and deepen that relationship. As I move into a new time of production with Paperglory Inspirational Gift books and Christmas ornaments, I have been musing on the following:

A gift may carry with it a history as it passes through others’ hands on the way to its final recipient. It is important that my gifts be produced with care and intent, and for this reason I am excited to be partnering with Millenium International, a Chinese company that specializes in pop-up books. In the Fall of 2010, I was privileged to visit Millenium, and to build personal relationships with those who direct the crafting of my inspirational books and Christmas ornaments.

A gift has the power to be a treasure, a bandage, or even a foothold in another’s life. Though I see each person’s journey as unique and sacred, I also believe that there exists a universal, shared wisdom that stems from the common experiences of life. As I created the words and images of Paperglory gifts, I drew inspirational quotes from the wisdom and whimsy of many cultures and thinkers in the hope of capturing timeless truth and beauty. Whether the occasion is one of joy, sadness, celebration, or heart and soul reflection, Paperglory Inspirational gift books are made to form treasured connections between loved ones.

Finally, a gift has the ability to bring beauty into another’s life. Paperglory Christmas ornaments and Inspirational Gift books are elegant reminders of the beauty of nature, love, and the heart and soul. If you looking for a creative and elegant gift giving idea for birthdays, Mother’s Day, special occasions, or Christmas, Paperglory offers a collection of carousel Inspirational Gift Books that speak to a variety of themes such as motherhood, grief, gardening, and spirituality. I am also delighted to introduce Yesteryear Christmas Collection: nine unique Christmas ornaments containing authentic images from the early 1900’s. These holiday treasures are richly colored and open into a delightful six-pointed star design.

I hope this new year unfolds new steps and hopeful possibilities on your journey. As I continue my own I am excited to share my ideas and creativity with you.
